Meet our Teachers

  • Melody Baerg

I love to teach because it is a rewarding gift from God. I can share my knowledge with everyone and also spread the Word of God. I can be like Jesus who was a teacher, too!

I just love teaching at NCA. God has blessed my life through the students that I teach. I love to share God’s word along with the academics.

I love teaching at NCA because I can serve God by sharing His love with my students and I can include Him in every aspect of our school day.

A little about our teaching style…

4K and Kindergarten

The objective of our 4K and Kindergarten programs is to provide a lively academic program which gives students an enjoyable educational foundation that capitalizes on their innate curiosity. The schedule includes Bible lessons, art projects, songs, puppets, numbers and skills, letters and sounds, language development, and active learning games.

Kindergarten students are usually able to read by the end of their school year.

Elementary (Grades 1-6)

Grades 1-6 are grouped together in a variety of ways. Each grade is taught grade-specific material, and held to a high academic standard. This multi-level class situation allows interaction between students of different ages and abilities. It also facilitates student-to-student learning in addition to learning from the teacher and text book instruction. It has proven an effective method of developing our students both academically and socially. Core subjects include Bible, Language Arts (reading, writing, spelling and grammar), Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science. Special courses taught by volunteer teachers include music and art.

Our curriculum consists of textbooks and materials produced by varying Christian publishers including Alpha Omega, Apologia, Bob Jones, Hewitt, and Saxon. Saxon Math is used from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Every class is taught from a biblical perspective with the goal of teaching a Christian worldview.
